Argentinian-Bavarian Initiative on Science, Technology and Innovation in Environmental Science and Technology
The first meeting of the Argentinean-Bavarian Initiative on Science, Technology and Innovation in Environmental Science and Technology (ABIEST) was held on 15th April 2013 in Erlangen, organized by the Bavarian University Centre for Latin America (BAYLAT) and coordinated by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (Institute of Biomaterials). Prof. Andrea Pagni, director of BAYLAT opened the meeting. Participants of different Bavarian Universities and Universities of Applied Sciences with interest in the field of Environmental Science and Technology and a representative of UmweltCluster Bavaria attended this meeting in which a statement of interest was signed to establish ABIEST as the instrument of interaction between Argentinean and Bavarian researchers in this field. Contacts with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovative Production (MinCyT) of Argentina and the Bavaria State Ministry of Sciences, Research and the Arts have been established.
