Meeting of EU project BIOSCENT
On 11-12 July 2013, the 54-month General Meeting of the FP7 EU project “BIOactive highly porous and injectable Scaffolds controlling stem cell recruitment, proliferation and differentiation and enabling angiogenesis for Cardiovascular Engineered Tissues” (BIOSCENT) took place at our Institute, organized by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. The consortium is developing advanced scaffolds to control stem cell recruitment, proliferation and differentiation and to enable angiogenesis for cardiovascular engineered tissues. The scaffolds, which mimic nature by inducing the heart to heal itself, will then be administered to the heart by means of a sutured patch or an injectable solution. (Click image to enlarge)
