Kick-off meeting of new DFG funded project
The kick-off meeting of the new DFG funded collaborative project “Bioadaptive Coatings on Mg Alloys” was held on 16th January at the Institute of Biomaterials. This project is a collaborative effort of the Institute of Surface Science and Corrosion of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Prof. S. Virtanen), the Julius Wolff Institute and Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin (Prof. F. Witte) and the Institute of Biomaterials (Prof. A. R. Boccaccini). Dr H. Hornberger, currently visiting lecturer in our Institute, will be the senior scientist in the project (all investigators pictured).
