ReBioStent EU project meeting in Brussels

Dr. Ipsita Roy, Elena Boccardi, und Prof. Boccaccini

The first review meeting of the EU project ReBioStent (Reinforced Bioresorbable Biomaterials for Therapeutic Drug Eluting Stents) took place on 15th July 2015 in Brussels, Belgium. Doctoral researcher Elena Boccardi and Prof. Boccaccini attended the meeting (pictured with ReBioStent scientific coordinator, Dr Ipsita Roy (University of Westminster, UK) and Dr Rocío Ortiz from Tekniker, Spain, project partner). The meeting successfully reviewed the consortium’s advances in the development of biomaterials with suitable properties for the intended applications in drug eluting stents. A Special Session “Science for Industry” entitled: “Bioresorbable Materials for Medical Applications”, organised by the ReBioStent consortium, has been scheduled at the 27th European Conference on Biomaterials (ESB), which will be held in Krakow, Poland from 30th August to 3rd September 2015.
