Prof. Boccaccini was a plenary speaker at the 14th Int. Symposium on Functionally Graded Materials (ISFGMs) held in Bayreuth, Germany, on Sept. 18-21, 2016, chaired by Prof. Monika Willert-Porada (Univ. of Bayreuth). The title of his presentation was: Functionally Graded Materials in Biomedical Applications: Progress and Challenges.
