Professor Aldo R. Boccaccini elected Fellow of the Society of Glass Technology (UK)
Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Aldo R. Boccaccini (Institute of Biomaterials, Department WW) has been elected Fellow of the Society of Glass Technology (SGT), based in the United Kingdom. Fellowship recognition is given to individual achievement and is awarded for recognized contributions to the science and technology of glass.
The Society of Glass Technology has a more than 100 years history of serving the glass community and the objectives are to encourage and advance the study of the history, art, science, design, manufacture, treatment, distribution and end use of glass of any and every kind.
Prof. Boccaccini is also a member of the Basic Science Technical Committee (BSCT) of SGT.
