Prof. Bikramjit Basu, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, receives Humboldt Research Award

Prof. Bikramjit Basu, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, and current President of the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs, India, received the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Research Award. Prof. Basu will spend six months at our Institute investigating innovate bioprinting strategies to develop organic-inorganic hybrid scaffolds based on silica-calcia based nanospheres in gelatin-methacrylate gels for craniomaxillofacial applications, in collaboration with Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. Prof. Basu (pictured with Prof. Boccaccini) received the award at the Conferment of Awards Ceremony during the Symposium for Research Award Winners held in Bamberg on 14th October 2022.
