We are currently hosting two JECS Trust (European Ceramic Society) fellowship holders at the Institute of Biomaterials. Mr Reza Samiee (PhD student at FunGlass Centre, Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, Slovakia), working on surface modification of NiTi alloy by coating composite layers, and Mr Luís Eduardo Martins Pereira (visiting student, University of Aveiro, Portugal), who is characterizing the biological properties of surface structured zirconia bioaceramics. The JECS Trust was set up in 2007 to oversee the expenditure of funds passed on to the European Ceramic Society (ECerS) by the Society’s Journal and by its publisher, Elsevier. We wish Reza and Luís much success and a fruitful experience in Erlangen!
