Professor Aldo R. Boccaccini was a co-chair of the 3rd International Conference on Alkali Activated Materials and Geopolymers: Sustainable Construction Materials and Ceramics Made Under Ambient Conditions, held on May 28 – June 2, 2023  in Cetraro (Calabria, Italy), organised in the framework of the English Conferences International (ECI) series.

Conference co-chairs with Prof. Boccaccini were Prof. Cristina Leonelli, Univ. of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, Prof. Waltraud Kriven, Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, Prof. John Provis, University of Sheffield, UK. Prof. Boccaccini was one of the speakers in the ROUND TABLE discussion: “Why geopolymers are key components of a sustainable world”. He also presented the poster contribution: “Optimization of process parameters for the synthesis of geopolymer binders” based on the results of Lulseged Addis, (PhD student) who could not attend the conference.
