Our Institute is currently hosting four top biomaterials scientists, holders of fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation: Ass. Prof. Duygu Ege ( Boğaziçi University, Turkey), working on bioactive glass containing fibers for nerve repair, Dr. Sara Pourshahrestani, post-doctoral researcher working on hemostatic materials for wound healing, Dr. Selvakumar Murugesan, Assistant Professor, National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal, India, working on bioactive elecrospun nanofibers, and Dr. Vida Khalili, Associate Professor, University of Bonab, Iran, working on biodegradable alloys for orthopedic applications.
