Prof. Boccaccini attends the (hybrid) Board meeting of Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS)
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the meeting of the Board of the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS) chaired by FEMS president Prof. Anna Zervaki, which took place in Athens and in hybrid format on 1st December 2023. Prof. Boccaccini is the representative of the German Materials Society (DGM) in FEMS Board since 2017. He currently serves as FEMS Vice-President and Section Editor (“Biomaterials for life science and healthcare”) in the European Journal of Materials (EJM), the official journal of FEMS. FEMS is a not-for profit association of European materials societies and associations covering several fields of materials science and engineering, including metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, glasses, nano and biomaterials in 22 different countries. The next large conference to be organised under the auspices of FEMS is Junior Euromat 2024, which will take place in Manchester, England on 15-18 July 2024, hosted by the IOM3.
