Prof. Akhilesh K Gaharwar, Texas A&M University, visits the Institute of Biomaterials
On 26th May, we received the visit of Prof. Akhilesh K Gaharwar, the Tim and Amy Leach Professor and Biomedical Engineering Presidential Impact Fellow at Texas A&M University, USA. Prof. Gaharwar visited the laboratories of our Institute and discussed areas of common research interest with Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini and other Institute members. He presented the invited lecture: “Therapeutic Biomaterials: Bridging Regeneration, Delivery, and Clinical Translation”. We are planning collaboration with Prof. Gaharwar’s group in the field of ion releasing bioactive inorganic particles for applications in tissue engineering, ionic medicine and biofabrication.
