Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini was an invited speaker at the “Current status of orthopedic research” Symposium, which was held at the Orthopedic Clinic University of Regensburg – Asklepios Klinikum Bad Abbach, on 5th July. He presented the Keynote lecture: “Tissue regeneration approaches using (ion releasing) bioactive glasses”.
There were many opportunities to discuss interesting research topics in the fields of orthopedics and biomaterials and to identify areas for expanding collaboration between our Institute and the Orthopedic Clinic at University of Regensburg (Head: Prof. Tobias Renkawitz). The symposium was chaired by Prof. Renkawitz and co-organised by Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Fabian Westhauser and Prof. Susanne Grässel.
