Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini co-chairs FEMS Industry Workshop at EUROMAT 2025
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, President of the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS), was one of the co-organizers and co-chairs of the FEMS Industry Workshop titled “Materials Assisted by Digital Science: Revolution, Benefits, and Risks for Industry”. The workshop, endorsed by the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS), was held during the EUROMAT 2025 conference in Granada, Spain. The event featured _four top-level speakers from both academia and industry, who introduced the topic and set the stage for an insightful discussion with active participation from the audience. Prof. Boccaccini commented: “I am very satisfied with FEMS actively organizing this type of workshop and discussion round on the topic of artificial intelligence and materials science, where experts from academia and industry come together to discuss the latest advances and challenges in the field.” The next workshop in this series will be held in Germany in 2026, and it will be organised by Prof. Boccaccini and Dr. Gerhard Hackl (Austria) on behalf of FEMS.
