Great presence of our Institute at EUROMAT 2025 conference in Granada, Spain
The EUROMAT 2025 conference was held in Granada, Spain, on 14-18 September 2025. Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, as president of the Federation of European Materials Societies (FEMS), carried out multiple activities during the week, including chairing the FEMS Board meeting, the FEMS General Assembly, co-chairing the FEMS Industry Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Materials Science and being juror of the Master thesis competition. He also participated in the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Conference. Our participaton at EUROMAT 2025 involved also scientific contibutions.
Dr.Irem Unalan gave an oral presentation showcasing results obtained within the framework of our DFG funded Research Unit (FOR 5657) BioAntiFatigue, in collaboration with the team of Prof. Claudia Fleck at TU Berlin.
Lisa Schöbel presented a poster featuring results from her doctoral thesis project on electrically conductive hydrogels for cartilage repair, conducted within the DFG-funded Collaborative Research CenterSFB 1270 ELAINE (LINK) in cooperation with Prof.Hermann Seitz and colleagues at the University of Rostock. It was also an opportunity to meet former members and visitors of our Institute (for example Prof. Duygu Ege, Turkey).
