Annual Meeting of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM) in Dresden
Dr. Rainer Detsch and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the Annual Meeting 2025 of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM), which was held on 9-11 October 2025 in Dresden. Dr. Detsch gave and oral presentation on bioinks for ink jet printing in the framework of the Collaborative Research Center SFB/TRR 225 ‘From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models’. Moreover, a joint poster was presented reporting our results on the biological characterisation of bioactive glass fibers. Prof. Boccaccini co-chaired the session on Bioactive glasses, at which several contributions from collaborators of our Institute were presented. He also chaired a plenary sessions featuring Plenary speaker Prof. Cecilia Persson (Sweden). It was great to meet former members of our Institute, including Dr. Thomas Distler, Dr. Florencia Diaz, Ms Malin Schmidt, and Dr. Harald Unterweger. We also were present at the TRR225 booth.
