“Advances in Biomaterials 2025” Seminar held at the Institute of Biomaterials
On 27th November 2025, our Institute hosted the “Advances in Biomaterials 2025” Seminar featuring two invited, international speakers: Prof. Jean-Philippe St-Pierre (University of Ottawa, Canada, currently visiting the FAU Department of Biology), and Prof. Ana Paula Immich Boemo (Federal University of Santa Caterina, Brazil), currently visiting researcher in our Institute as part of our CAPES-DAAD joint research project. They presented insightful talks showing biomaterials innovations in two key areas of tissue engineering, namely cartilage repair and wound healing, respectively. The seminar was chaired by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini who highlighted the exciting possibilities for collaboration in the frame of international exchange programs between Germany and Canada and Brazil.
