Progress meeting (M36) of the EU (Horizon Europe) project Nanobloc(R) held on 9-10th December 2025 in Vagos, Aveiro, Portugal
The progress meeting (M36) of the EU (Horizon Europe) project Nanobloc(R) (ANTIVIRAL, ANTIBACTERIAL & ANTIFUNGAL NANOCOATING PLATFORM) took place on 9-10th December 2025. Dr. Zoya Hadzhieva and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the meeting in person in Vagos, Aveiro (Portugal) and online, respectively. The project is coordinated by Prof. Cristina Balagna from Polytechnic of Turin, Italy, and includes academic and industrial partners from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Belgium. Our Institute contributes to the development of wet-chemistry antimicrobial coatings for porous filter materials and protective textiles. All project partners participated in the discussions for the future work on sustainable coatings for antibacterial and antiviral applications. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement nr. 101057597.
