On 2-4 February 2026 we received the visit of Dr. Antonia Ressler from Tampere University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Finland. Dr. Ressler presented the invited talk “From regeneration to protection: Biomimetic materials in bone repair, cancer therapy, and infection control” in the frame of the Materials Science Colloquium of the FAU Department of Materials Science and Engineering hosted by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. Dr. Ressler visited our laboratories and we discussed different possibilities to initiate a collaboration between our research groups in the field of ion releasing bioactive materials for bone tissue regeneration.
