The Meeting of the Working Group “Glass-crystalline multifunctional materials” of DGG (German Glass Society) and DKG (German Ceramic Society) was held in Erlangen on 19-20 February 2026. The meeting was organised at the FAU Department of Materials Science and Engineering by Prof. Dominique De Ligny and Dr. Rita Cicconi. The program included seven scientific presentations from academia and industry covering several topics in the field of glass-crystalline materials (ceramics, glass-ceramics, glass-crystal composites). A characteristic feature of this successful meeting series has been always the availability of ample time for questions and discussions. Prof. Boccaccini chaired one of the sessions. Prof. Boccaccini is a founding member of the Working Group, which was established in 2002.
