The mid-term meeting of the EU project EngVIPO “Engineering Vascularized Implants for Personalised Osteochondral Tissue Regeneration: From medical imaging to pre-clinical validation” took place on 27 April 2026 at the University of Minho (Guimarães, Portugal) and hybrid form. EngVIPO is funded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, Staff Exchanges 2023 (HORIZON-MSCA-2023, grant ID 101183041) and is coordinated by 3B’s Research Group, University of Minho (Dr. Miguel Oliveira). The international consortium includes partners from the University of Kragujevac (Serbia), University of Erlangen Nuremberg (Germany), University of Krakow (Poland), University of Granada (Spain), Sun Yat-sen University (China), Ti‑com (Poland) and the Portuguese non-profit organization A4tec. During the meeting, the progress of the project activities and exchange of researchers were discussed and evaluated by the EU project officer Ms Raquel Jimenez Frias. The project promotes knowledge exchange and collaborative development of innovative biomaterials and bioinks, emerging technologies, biobanks and personalized medicine for osteochondral tissue regeneration. From our institute, Marcela Arango Ospina attended the meeting in person, while Dr. Zoya Hadzhieva and Prof. Aldo Boccaccini participated online.
