On 5th May we received the visit of Prof. Dr. Wenwen Fang, Professorship for Particle and Fiber Technology for bio-based materials at TUM Campus Straubing. Prof. Fang presented the invited lecture “High performance bio-based fibers”. We discussed with Prof. Fang areas of common and complementary research interest which may lead to establish collaborations between our Institute and the group of Prof. Fang, particularly in the field of biofunctionalization of fibers and textiles. Prof. Fang visited our laboratories and had an appreciation of the broad nature of our research activities in the field of biomaterials.
