The 5th edition of Research.com is available online. The platform presents a comprehensive ranking of researchers globally, which is based on data combined from various data sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The methodology behind the rankings is detailed on the Research.com website. The position of a researcher in the ranking is based on a researcher’s D-index (Discipline H-index), which includes publications and citation values for an examined discipline. In the field of Materials Science, Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini is ranked 10th in Germany and 209th worldwide. Notably, 27 materials scientists affiliated with FAU are included in this list. In total, over 12,851 scientists in the discipline of Materials Science were evaluated worldwide. Prof. Boccaccini said: “I am honored to be listed again in this platform.
