The last scientific meeting of the EU project NANOBLOC (Antimicrobial, Antiviral, and Antifungal Nanocoatings, by sustainable synthesis methods, for application on all surfaces) took place on 16th June in the premises of the industrial partner AGC INTERPANE in Lauerfoerde, Germany, and online. It was a great opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past years within this EU consortium in the field of antimicrobial, antiviral, and antifungal nanocoatings. The project has delivered impactful scientific, technological, and economic results with strong collaboration of all partners and under leadership of the coordinator team at Polytechnic of Turin, Italy, led by Dr. Cristina Balagna. Our Institute was an active partner, contributing to the development of electrophoretic composite antibacterial coatings under the leadership of Dr. Zoya Hadzhieva. We look forward to building on these achievements and continuing our collaboration in future initiatives.
