Dr. Patrycja Domalik-Pyzik, AGH University of Krakow, Poland, finishes her Eng VIPO EU project secondment in our Institute

It was a pleasure to host Dr. Patrycja Domalik-Pyzik, from the Department of Biomaterials and Composites, Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, AGH University of Krakow, Poland, in the frame of the second part of her EngVIPO EU project secondment in our Institute. During this second part of her secondment in July/August 2026, Dr. Domalik-Pyzik  progressed with the research work on alginate dialdehyde-gelatine tricalcium phosphate (ADA–GEL/TCP) composites incorporating natural biopolymers (obtained in Krakow) to enhance 3D printability and mechanical properties. The work contributes to the development of composite biofabrication strategies for future osteochondral scaffold applications as core topic in the EngVIPO project. Dr. Patrycja Domalik-Pyzik also presented an invited lecture covering the research activities in her group, which are carried out in collaboration with Prof. Elżbieta Pamuła at AGH University. We thank Dr. Domalik-Pyzik for her visit and look forward to expanding the collaborations between our research groups.
