On 24 and 25 September, Ms. Hannah Kissel and Ms. Andrada Damian-Buda, PhD students in our institute under the supervision of Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, visited Dr. Petra Kocánek Chocholatá, at the Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen, Charles University, Czech Republic.
The visit took place in the framework of the Bayerisch-Tschechische Hochschulagentur (BTHA)/BAYHOST bilateral project entitled “Development of injectable bioactive glass–hydrogel composites for osteoimmunomodulatory bone regeneration.” During the visit, Hannah and Andrada presented the main research directions of our Institute in a presentation entitled “Biomaterials & Processing Techniques: Research at the Institute of Biomaterials, FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg”.
In addition, a progress meeting was held to discuss the current results of the bilateral project and the future steps. The visit also included several tours of different departments and facilities of the Biomedical Center, providing an opportunity to learn more about the ongoing research activities and infrastructure of the same university.
