On 30 September – 2 October 2026 we received the visit of Prof. Dachamir Hotza, from the Chemical Engineering Department, Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). Prof. Hotza and Prof. Boccaccini are principal investigators of a CAPES/DAAD PROBRAL bilateral project entitled “Advanced Manufacturing of Multifunctional Scaffolds: Synthesis, Processing, and Biological Evaluation”, which is the last year of execution. Prof. Hotza met PhD students and post-doctoral researchers carrying out their projects in our Institute in preparation of the visit of FAU PhD students to UFSC later this year. Also specific tasks of the bilateral project on multifunctional scaffolds were discussed with Dr. Julia Ce and Prof. Boccaccini. In addition we discussed the progress of the projects of PhD students who are currently co-supervised in the framework of co-tutelle agreements.
