Doctoral thesis success: Seyma Sereflioglu

Congratulations to Seyma Sereflioglu on successfully defending her doctoral thesis titled “Bio-activated nanofibers scaffolds integrated with advanced drug delivery systems for tendon treatments” on 2nd October, 2026. Seyma carried out her doctoral project in our Institute, supervised by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini in co-tutelle with Keele University, co-supervised by Prof. Nick Forsyth and in collaboration with Dr. Tina Dale at Keele University. The project was part of the Doctoral Training Network Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions “PERSPECTIVES FOR FUTURE INNOVATION IN TENDON REPAIR” (P4FiT). The defense was conducted online. Prof. Boccaccini highlighted the innovative results obtained by Seyma, who developed and characterized drug releasing electrospun fibrous scaffolds for tendon repair. The project involved research at Keele University and other partner universities in P4FiT.  We wish Seyma all the best in her future career.
