Besuch aus Mexiko: Professor Juan Muñoz Saldaña
Am 26. Juni 2018 erhielten wir Besuch von Professor Juan Muñoz Saldaña, dem Forschungsleiter “Multifunctional Ceramics” an der “Cinvestav Unidad Querétaro” und dem “Centro Nacional de Proyección Térmica” (CENAPROT) in Mexiko. Wir haben eine Vereinbarung für eine Kollaboration mit der “Cinvestav Unidad Querétaro” gefasst, die es möglich macht doppelte Doktortitel gemeinsam mit der FAU zu erlangen. Prof. Peter Pivonka, Queensland University of Technology, Australia, visits the Institute of Biomaterials
, Australia. Prof. Pivonka presented the seminar: “Microstructural characterisation of the osteocyte lacunar-canalicular network during aging using high resolution imaging – mechanobiological implications”. He also visited the laboratories of the Institute of Biomaterials to plan further collaborative research between his group at QUT and our Institute.

We welcome our international guests, visiting researchers and students in summer 2018
They are working on topics as varied as bioactive glass scaffolds, electrospinning of composite fibres, electrophoretic deposition of bioactive coatings, mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles, biofabrication and 3D printing of hydrogels as well as cell biology characterisation of bioceramics.
