Fulden Dogrul is PhD student in the framework of the EU-funded (H2020) project FunGlass (Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass) (LINK: https://www.funglass.eu/ ) based at Alexander Dubcek University of Trencin, Slovakia. The project involves the development and characterisation of advanced porous bio-ceramic components from preceramic polymers and engineering fillers for biomedical applications, using additive manufacturing and foaming technology for bone tissue regeneration. The scaffolds are fabricated at the partner institution (University of Padova, Italy) and the part of the project being carried out at the Institute of Biomaterials in Erlangen involves the biological characterization of the produced scaffolds and foams.
