Enhancing the biological properties of hydroxyapatite-based scaffods by addition of mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles

This project focuses on β-TCP and hydroxyapatite-based scaffolds for dental applications, incorporating anti-inflammatory drug delivery systems for alveolar ridge regeneration. During this part of the project at the Institute of Biomaterials, FAU, the work is expanded to include mesoporous bioactive glasses. The aim is to compare the effect of HAp-based granules with mesoporous bioactive glasses on bioactivity and antibacterial performance of the scaffolds.
