Prof. Boccaccini attended the 2nd International Symposium on Biofabrication for NIFE, in cooperation with the International Interdisciplinary Alliance against Implant-related Infections (I4A), held at Hannover Medical School, Hannover, Germany, on 31 August – 1st September, 2017. Prof. Boccaccini presented the guest lecture: “Enhancing the properties of alginate-based bioinks for biofabrication of tissue scaffolds”, giving an overview of the recent research activities in the field of biofabrication at the Institute of Biomaterials. In the photo, Prof. Boccaccini with Prof. Cornelia Kasper (Institute of Biotechnology, University of Natural Resources and Life Science, Vienna, Austria, who presented the guest lecture: “Strategies for Stem Cell Expansion and Differentiation for Tissue Engineering and Cell based Therapies”. We are collaborating with the group of Prof. Kasper in the field of cell biology characterisation of bioactive scaffolds [1].
