Our paper on Cu-nano bioactive glass / gelatin coated scaffolds published in ACS Biomater. Sci. Eng.

The paper “Incorporation of Cu-Containing Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles in Gelatin-Coated Scaffolds Enhances Bioactivity and Osteogenic Activity” co-authors: Kai Zheng, Jingjing Wu, Wei Li, Dirk Dippold, Ying Wan, Aldo R. Boccaccini, has been published on line in ACS Biomater. Sci. Eng., [1]. This research was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Wei Li (alumni of our Institute, University of Helsinki, Finland), and Prof. Ying Wan (College of Life Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China). This paper presents the Cu-doped bioactive glass nanoparticle technology developed by Dr. Kai Zheng in our Institute, applied to enhance gelatine coatings of standard 45S5 bioactive glass based scaffolds.
