Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini has recently joined as member the Bavarian Polymer Institute (BPI). BPI is an initiative of the Universities Bayreuth, Erlangen-Nuremberg and Würzburg to combine the existing expertise in the three universities in the fields of polymer science and polymer engineering. BPI promotes interdisciplinary research by enabling strategic and infrastructural collaborations with joint research projects and the establishment of common, cutting-edge science and technology clusters in the polymers field. Prof. Boccaccini said: “it is an honored to be invited to join the Bavarian Polymer Institute. BPI supports our activities already, for example in the framework of the Collaborative Research Centre TRR225  on biofabrication. Therefore I look forward to enhance our research collaborations in the field of biopolymers with BPI colleagues in Würzburg, Bayreuth and Erlangen in the coming months”.
