Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini invited speaker at RCAA Symposium on Materials Science and Engineering at DLR Cologne
The 1st Symposium on Materials Science and Engineering organized by the Network of Scientific Researchers in Germany (RCAA) was held on 2-3 May 2024 at the Institute of Materials Research, German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne, Germany. The symposium was organised by Prof. Guillermo Requena, and Dr. Silvana Tumminello, from the Institute of Materials Research, DLR Cologne. The symposium was held in hybrid form with participation of Argentinean researchers based in Argentina online. The idea behind the organization of this symposium was to bring together Argentinean materials scientists based in Germany and colleagues in Argentina to discuss opportunities to expand German-Argentine research collaborations in materials science and engineering. Prof. Boccaccini, emeritus scientific coordinator of RCCA, presented the talk: “Bioactive glasses: versatile materials for ionic and regenerative medicine” (in Spanish). The second symposium is planned in 2026, it will be organised by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
