Visit from Latvia
Prof. Janis Locs, senior researcher at the Rudolfs Cimdins Riga Biomaterials Innovations and Development Centre, Riga Technical University, Riga, Latvia visited our Institute in March in the framework of a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM) of the COST Action: “From NAno to MAcro BIOmaterials (design, processing, characterization, modeling) and applications to stem cells regenerative orthopedic and dental medicine (NAMABIO)“. We are currently collaborating with Dr Locs in the field of polymer coated bioactive glass based scaffolds with drug delivery capability. Prof. Boccaccini is a member as representative for Germany of the Management Committee of NAMABIO. (Click image to enlarge)
