Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Head, Institute of Biomaterials, delivered the prestigious “Arthur L. Friedberg Ceramic Engineering Tutorial and Lecture 2016 ” at the MS&T 2016 conference joint with ACerS 118th Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, USA. The award is conferred by the American Ceramic Society (ACerS) and the National Institute of Ceramic Engineers (NICE) and recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to ceramic engineering. Those contributions will have a technological basis that relates to the processing or manufacturing of ceramic products. Prof. Boccaccini presented the lecture and tutorial entitled: “Bioactive Glasses in Soft Tissue Repair. What Do We Know So Far?” In the photo with Prof. Ricardo H. R.
