EU project ReBioStent: final project meeting in Brussels.

Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the final meeting of the project “Reinforced Bioresorbable Biomaterials for Therapeutic Drug Eluting Stents (ReBioStent)”, held in Brussels on 15th February 2017. Prof. Boccaccini was the leader of the work package (WP) 3 in this project and he presented a summary of the WP achievements in the field of functional composites with drug delivery capability. ReBioStent developed materials, designs, and manufacturing processes to produce a state of the art therapeutic medical device, for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, more specifically, reinforced, resorbable therapeutic biodegradable coronary stent.
