Visit from Bangalore, India
On 3rd March 2017 we received the visit of Dr. Sivaranjani Gali, Associate Professor, Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dental Sciences, M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Bangalore, India. Dr. Gali presented the seminar: “Zirconia toughened mica glass ceramics for dental restorations”. Dr. Gali discussed new glass-ceramic compositions with enhanced combination of mechanical properties. The machinability of new glass-ceramics is described also using the concept of the brittleness index, contributed by Prof. Boccaccini in a previos research project [1]. Dr. Gali is associated with Prof. Bikramjit Basu at Indian Institute of Science Bangalore under a Welcome Trust DBT India Fellowship for clinicians.
