International Workshop: “Biomaterials: Key Technologies for Better Healthcare” held in Erlangen

The 7th Industrial Workshop of the “European Virtual Institute on Knowledge‐Based Multifunctional Materials (KMM‐VIN AISBL)” “Biomaterials: Key Technologies for Better Healthcare” was held on 27th‐28th September 2017, in Erlangen, Germany. The workshop was chaired by Professor Aldo R. Boccaccini (Institute of Biomaterials, FAU) and co-chaired by Prof. Stefan Sesselmann (InnoPlant/Medical Valley Centre) and Prof. Heike Walles (University of Würzburg ). The workshop brought together experts working in the broad area of biomedical materials both in industry and academia, covering topics related to design, fabrication, characterisation and applications of a wide variety of biomaterials. The program included a combination of keynote, contributed and poster presentations and attracted a broad audience of researchers from industry and academia.
