Our Institute was present with a stand and several demonstrators at the “Long Night of the Sciences” in Erlangen. The stand was placed in the exhibition area of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and different experiments were demonstrated, including electrospinning of polymer fibres, 3D printing for biomedical products and hydrogel capsule formation for drug delivery. Prof. Boccaccini said: “this has been the most successful participation of our Institute in this important public relations activity of our University. We received an impressive number of visitors in our stand who showed their interests in biomedical materials and their applications. I express my gratitude to all members of the Institute who were involved and made our participation a success”.
