TERMIS 2021 conference

Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini and Dr. Liliana Liverani attended the 6th World Congress of the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society (TERMIS2021), which was held online on 15-19 November 2021. Prof. Boccaccini contributed the oral presentation “Development of approaches for a two-layer patch combining electrospinning and 3D printing with improved electrical stimulus transmission and self-regulating viscoelastic properties for application in cardiac tissue engineering” in the session “Use of bioelectronic, biomagnetic and biophysical approaches in Regenerative Medicine”. This presentation was based on the results of the PhD thesis of Dr. Florian Ruther. In addition he presented the poster entitled “Bioactive glasses and the immune system: recent findings and future perspectives” in co-authorship with Dr. Kai Zheng. Dr. Liverani presented the oral talk: “Electrospun scaffolds for ovarian tissue engineering: key points of scaffold-follicles interactions”. Prof. Boccaccini also chaired the symposium “Biomaterials for cardiovascular tissue engineering”, which he co-organised with Prof. Ipsita Roy (University of Sheffield).
