In the week 31.01. to 04.02.2022 we received the visit of Dr. Agnieszka Piegat, assistant professor at the Department of Polymer and Biomaterials Science
and Nanotechnology Centre, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin, Poland. She visited our institute as an Erasmus lecturer and delivered 8 hours of teaching covering the following topics:  i) Introduction to biopolymers, both degradable and non-degradable, ii) Processing techniques dedicated to scaffold development, for bone/soft tissue engineering applications, amd iii) Functionalization of biopolymers – physical and chemical methods. We also discussed with Dr. Piegat research collaborations following our previous successful joint project in the field of hierarchical fibrous composites. Our last joint publication in Biomedical Materials is available [1].
