Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini and Ms Lisa Schoebel (PhD student) participated at the 7th Retreat of the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) SFB 1270/2 “ELAINE – Electrically Active Implants” held on 18-20 September 2023 at Schloss & Gut Ulrichshusen, Schwinkendorf.  The activities of ELAINE focus on the development of a new family of electrically active implants aiming at the regeneration of bone and cartilage, as well as implants for deep brain stimulation to treat movement disorders. The CRC is led by University of Rostock (Spokesperson: Prof. Dr. Ursula van Rienen) with participation of researchers from other Universities in some of the individual projects. Our Institute is part of Project B01 “Electrically conductive and piezoactive materials for multifunctional implants for bone and cartilage regeneration” in collaboration with the group of Prof. Hermann Seitz, Chair for Microfluidics at Univ. of Rostock.
