Prof. Boccaccini will present the invited talk “Bioactive glasses exhibiting controlled therapeutic ion release for bone regeneration” in Symposium 24: Nanostructured Bioceramics and Ceramics for Biomedical Applications, at the PacRim 10 Conference in Ceramic and Glass Technology to be held in San Diego (USA) on 2-7 June 2013. Prof. Boccaccini is also co-organiser of Symposium “Glasses and Ceramics for Nuclear and Hazardous Waste Treatment” at PacRim 10, where he will present the paper “Progress in the development of glass-ceramics from silicate waste focusing on functional materials” a contributed paper in collaboration with C. Rama Krishna Satish and Dr. Enrico Bernardo (University of Padova, Italy), in the framework of Glacerco project.
