New international projects
Two new DAAD funded projects have been awarded to the Institute of Biomaterials (Head: Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Aldo R. Boccaccini) for scientific collaboration with researchers in Poland and the Republic of Serbia. The project “New functionalised biodegradable elastomers for cardiac tissue engineering” involves collaborative research and exchange of students and young researchers between the FAU Institute of Biomaterials and the group of Prof. Mirka El Fray at the Polymer Institute of the West Pomeranian University of Technology, Szczecin, Poland, while the research project “Scaffolds with therapeutic functionality” will be carried out in collaboration with the research group of Dr. Magdalena M. Stevanović, at the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Belgrade, Serbia.
