Successful defense of doctoral thesis

Nooeaid Patcharakamon (Look-Om) mit ihrem Doktorhut

On 15th May, Nooeaid Patcharakamon (Look-Om) successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled: “Multilayered Scaffolds for Osteochondral Tissue Engineering Based on Bioactive Glass and Biodegradable Polymers” (in German: “Mehrlagige Gerüststrukturen für das Knochen-Knorpel Tissue Engineering basierend auf bioaktivem Glas und bioabbaubaren Polymeren”), carried out under supervision of Professor Aldo R. Boccaccini at our Institute.
Prof. Boccaccini highlighted that Look-Om is the first PhD student graduated from the Erlangen Institute of Biomaterials, which is celebrating this year the 5th Anniversary of its establisment in 2009. Two of the articles published by Look-Om are listed below. We congratulate Look-Om on this achievement also on her new academic position back in Thailand! (Click images to enlarge)
