Two meetings of the DFG funded project “Bioadaptive Coatings on Mg Alloys” were held in January. On 10th January the meeting took place at Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg (OTH Regensburg), hosted by Prof. Helga Hornberger (former at FAU). The second project meeting took place on 13th January at the Julius Wolff Institute and Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery, Charité – Universitätsmedizin, Berlin, hosted by project partner Prof. Frank Witte. The project investigates the development and characterisation of novel protective coatings for Mg alloy substrates based on natural polymers [1]. In the picture, at the meeting in Regensburg, Prof. H. Hornberger, and the members of the FAU team: M. Hoehlinger, Dr. V. Wagener, Prof. A. R. Boccaccini, Prof. S. Virtanen and S. Heise.
