International Conference “Biofabrication for Hierarchical in Vitro Tissue Models” in Hernstein, Austria

Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini was an invited speaker at the international conference: “Biofabrication for Hierarchical in Vitro Tissue Models” held on June 5 – 9, 2017 in Hernstein, Austria. Prof. Boccaccini presented the lecture: “Biofabrication of 3D hard-soft and composite constructs for bone regeneration”. In addition, Prof. Boccaccini acted as the technical liaison for the conference on behalf of Engineering Conferences International the institution sponsoring the conference. The Chairs of the conference were Prof. Juergen Groll (University of Würzburg, Germany) and Prof. Jos Malda (University Medical Centre Utrecht, The Netherlands) (pictured with Prof. Boccaccini). Our institute was also represented by Mr Supachai Reakasame (PhD student), who presented the poster entitled: “Fabrication and characterization of alginate-keratin based composite microspheres containing bioactive glass for tissue engineering applications”.
