Prof. Boccaccini attends inauguration of X-ray microscope in Halle
On 6th April 2018, Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the inauguration of the X-ray microscope (XRM) at Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems (IMWS), in Halle, Germany, which included a program of scientific presentations.
We are collaborating with the Nanomaterials and Nanoanalytics (GNN) group (Head: Prof. Dr. Thomas Höche, pictured with Prof. Boccaccini), at Fraunhofer IMWS in a joint research project funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the field of advanced microstructural characterisation of bioactive glasses and glass-ceramics, including the application of XRM, in which also researchers of University of of Jena (Prof. Delia Brauer) are involved.
